Important update from Engleton House Surgery

Dear Patients,

You may have seen in the media that General Practice has been asked to support the Covid Vaccination programme further. We are offering as many Covid Vaccination sessions as we can, this involves staff working overtime but may also impact other services.

We kindly ask you bear this in mind if your concern takes longer to be dealt with than you would normally expect. We too are personally affected by the pandemic and at times are working with minimal staffing levels during a higher-than-normal demand.

Each day we have an on-call doctor. Their purpose is to deal with medical emergencies.
We have many new staff working within our team such as Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Health Advisors, Mental Health Worker, HCA’s, Social Prescribers, Nurses, Physician Associate as well as GP’s. Our reception team can book appointments with the most appropriate person based on your clinical need. Please also remember our lovely local pharmacists offer great advice on minor ailments.

By seeking advice from the right person, this frees up appointments for the patients who specifically need a doctor. This is what will enable us to continue providing quick access to a GP when you or your family need it most.

We hope you can support us to continue supporting you and your families at this time.

From all of us here at Engleton House and Coventry University Health Centre, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Healthy and Happy New Year.
